Homecoming Parade Float Chair

As the Homecoming Float Chair for Delta Delta Delta during Baylor’s 2024 Homecoming, one of the oldest and largest university homecoming celebrations in the country, I led a team of over 400 students from two organizations to design, build, and present a float that earned 3rd place overall.

This role involved managing a $12,000 budget, sourcing materials, coordinating daily build schedules, resolving last-minute challenges, and ensuring team communication across multiple committees. I also negotiated next-year pairing terms and helped foster collaboration between two Greek organizations with different working styles and resources.

Beyond logistics, this experience taught me how to lead with clarity, stay calm under pressure, and balance creativity with execution. It was one of the most demanding and rewarding leadership roles I’ve taken on, and it proved my ability to bring large-scale projects from vision to reality.
